Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? A welcoming primary school in Fleetwood is seeking an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in their Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with suspected Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
As an EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with suspected ASC, helping them access learning and build confidence in the classroom.
- Assist in implementing strategies to develop the child's communication, social skills, and sensory regulation.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt activities and create a positive learning environment.
- Foster the child's independence and emotional well-being, ensuring they feel safe and supported.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or similar needs (desirable but not essential).
- Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development.
- Hold a relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support (Level 2 or above preferred).
- Be willing to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
