Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor\nLocation: Southampton (site based)\nSalary: Up to £70,00 p/a (dependent on experience)\nAdditional: Company vehicle or car allowance\nJob Type: Full-time - Permanent\n\nAre you an experienced QS or Senior QS with prior experience in large scale civils and utilities projects and looking for a fresh opportunity?\n\nWe have an exciting new opportunity with our client, an integrated design and delivery solution provider within the utilities sector.\n\nThey are looking for an experienced and ambitious Quantity Surveyor to work alongside the managing QS and assume responsibility for the commercial management of a range of projects.\n\nKey duties:\n\nGeneral quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packages.\nLiaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to understand, analyse and control cost.\nEngage in collaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are met.\nManagement of the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary.\nResponsible for the preparation and issue of subcontract documentation.\nAssist in the management and performance of subcontractors.\nManage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment.\nThe preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts. \nAssist in the management and development of training commercial staff.\nEnsure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking, associations and conferencing to stay current on industry changes and innovations.
