To be responsible for the supervision of Facilities Services staff ensuring that scheduled staffing levels are maintained to meet the needs of the service including cover arrangements for sickness and annual leave, allocating leave requests, etc. covering Domestic, Catering and Portering.
Main duties of the job
You will be under the ROE agreement, and NHS member of staff managed by Aramark, working on a five over seven rota between the hours of 07:30am and 19:00pm, 365 days per year. Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring support and work allocation for Facilities Staff.
2. Leading hotel service domestic staff across a range of domestic cleaning activities, portering, laundry, and security throughout the building.
3. Prioritising and allocating day-to-day tasks.
4. Scheduling ad hoc requests.
5. Ensuring the standards of work meet the needs of the service, customer, and Trust.
6. Working within all appropriate legislative regulations, including Health and Safety.
Job responsibilities
1. Ensuring accurate work is completed within time limits, framework, and quality standards.
2. Working closely with other staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
3. Offering leadership, training, and supervision to staff.
Person Specification
Training
* Ability to undertake all mandatory training as required by the individual site.
* Ability to undertake any necessary skills and competency training required by the post.
* NVQ/Apprenticeship Level 2 Cleaning and Support Service.
* I.L.M level 3 or N.E.B.S.S Certificate or equivalent supervisor qualification.
Experience
* Experience in staff supervision of Facilities Services.
* Skilled in recruitment and selection of staff.
* Experience in ordering supplies.
Skills
* Good basic administration skills.
* Good communication skills.
* Computer literate.
* Skilled in people supervision.
Knowledge
* Understanding of Infection Control.
* Understanding of COSHH.
* Knowledge of relevant NHS procedures and practice.
Contractual Requirements
* Experienced driver able to drive Trust vehicle.
* Full Driving Licence.
