Design Manager / Senior Design Manager - Construction Contractor

Responsibilities
1. Understand client requirements and output specifications.
2. Coordinate with the Pre-construction Manager to ensure pricing assumptions align with the evolving design.
3. Monitor design progress, ensuring accuracy and completeness at each development stage (ITN Phase / PB Phase / Construction Phase).
4. Ensure all necessary resources for coordination are appointed.
5. Prepare monthly reports for Design Leads.
6. Oversee design compliance, constructability, efficiency, and support the bid process.
7. Lead the sign-off process for documents, ensuring they reach the correct status.
8. Develop and validate the Design Management Plan (DMP).
9. Establish the Project's Document Management Procedure in accordance with TEC.CMP.05.
10. Endorse Consultants' DMPs.
11. Define consultant objectives and authorize payments to appointed consultants.
12. Set designer objectives regarding timing, detail, ratios, and coordination.
13. Manage the flow of design information and document control processes.
14. Support procurement and commercial teams.
15. Represent the company in meetings with clients, users, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
16. Coordinate input from the Technical Department to develop a robust design.
17. Manage environmental certification processes such as BREEAM / CFSH.
18. Oversee (preconstruction) or participate in (construction) the Design Transfer from preconstruction to construction phases.
