You will be a member of the Senior Clinical Team, the Deputy Theatre Manager will be integral to the delivery of the strategic vision and plan for the department and hospital, as well as accountable for the customer & stakeholder outcomes. You will have key responsibilities to include line management for lead practitioners as well as acting as the theatre manager in their absence. You will also be expected to participate in and manage the duty lead rota, as well as coordinate the department's theatre staff activities. The role is comprised of 70% clinical duties within the theatre department and 30% administrative tasks.
As our Deputy Theatre Manager you will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of leading and developing a high performing theatre team to enhance patient care and customer experience, whilst facilitating the best possible clinical outcomes.
As Deputy Theatre Manager you will need the following:
* Previous theatre leadership skills and experience
* The ability to develop strong partnership with key stakeholders
* Deputise for the Theatre Manager and co-ordinate the theatre department as required
* Good people management skills
* Good time management
* Able to start and finish tasks in required time
* Excellent computer skills
The person to succeed as a Deputy Theatre Manager you will need the following:
* More than 5 years theatre experience
* Microsoft and Excel experience
* Strong communication and clinical skills
* Professional Registered with the NMC/HCPC
* SFA/ ALS & Leadership & Management experience
* Lead the team and promote best evidence-based practice
* Has the can do attitude
* Good creative and strategic skills
* Can work well under pressure
