Position
Job Title: Functional Skills Administrator
Location: Remote
Job Type: Permanent - Monday to Friday (36.5 hours a week)
We are seeking a Functional Skills Administrator to join our team, responsible for managing the coordination of functional skills examination bookings, scheduling, and access arrangements. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth administration of functional skills assessments and workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate functional skills examination bookings and the SLC rota.
* Liaise with the Additional Learning Support (ALS) team to secure appropriate access arrangements for candidates.
* Ensure compliance with invigilation documentation and ensure invigilation training is up to date.
* Monitor and track functional skills workshop attendance, keeping systems updated.
* Schedule and manage all functional skills workshops via the booking system.
* Communicate regularly with candidates and staff, including sending workshop reminders and other relevant updates.
* Collaborate with the quality team to ensure that all documentation is uploaded and compliant with relevant standards.
* Schedule mock exams and liaise with personal tutors to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
What we need from you:
* Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent).
* Proven experience working in a Coordinator or Administration role.
* Strong background in working as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Familiarity with the Further Education sector and understanding of awarding body requirements.
* Knowledge of JCQ guidelines and exam board systems, such as Walled Garden for C&G.
* Access to a car or the ability to travel and work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.
