About the Team
We are looking for a highly motivated Deputy Team Manger to join our Adolescent and Child Exploitation Team which is based in the Civic Centre, Keynsham. This post would suit those looking to enhance their skills in management, supervision and working with adolescents at risk. This is a full time maternity cover position.
About the Role
The Adolescent and Child Exploitation Team has a focus on supporting children, young people and families at risk of CSE, young/teenage parents and harmful sexual behaviours. The team works with children and their families managing and responding to risk whilst also assisting families to achieve and sustain change. You will work in partnership with an enthusiastic and successful team consisting of a number of qualified professional Social Workers, family support practitioners and admin. This team is expanding and developing so we are looking for a motivated individual with the skills to drive contextual safeguarding approaches forward.
Management experience, together with a sound knowledge of policy, procedures, legislation and statutory guidance related to safeguarding are essential requirements of the post. Along with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and multi-agency partners, experience of robust performance management with regards to quality assuring service provision and a track record in achieving positive outcomes for children and young people is essential.
This is also an ideal opportunity for an experienced Senior Practitioner or Social Worker who has undertaken post-qualifying training and can evidence effective supervisory skills. You will be supported and trained to undertake the full range of management responsibilities and this will include the Management Skills Development programme. Mentoring / coaching will also be available.

About you:
To apply you will have
* A relevant social work qualification
* Knowledge of the legislative framework and legal proceedings that governs children’s services
* Knowledge of theory and practice applicable to social work
