Job Title: Consultant Psychologist Location: Manchester Salary: £68,000 - £72,500 FTE (Dependent Upon Experience) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Job Type: Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Practitioner Psychologist to lead the psychological therapies provision in Adult Acute Inpatient Services at a leading healthcare facility. This role offers flexibility with hours and can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis. Key Responsibilities: Provide strategic leadership of the psychology provision across Adult Acute and Psychiatric Intensive Care services. Deliver direct psychological input to wards, including consultation and indirect working. Offer psychological perspectives in patient care decision-making, staff team consultations, and reflective practice facilitation. Attend ward rounds and CPA review meetings. Conduct psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions. Supervise an Assistant Psychologist and oversee their therapeutic work, including group programmes and psychoeducational sessions. Requirements: HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist. Specialist knowledge and post-qualification clinical experience with a range of mental health difficulties. Experience in providing supervision and involvement in service development. Desirable: Clinical leadership and people management experience. Strong interest in innovative practice, working with complexity, and effective team collaboration.
