The Internal Sales Engineer supports the Equipment Sales Manager & Business Development Managers to meet performance objectives of Equipment Order Intake and Revenue. The role covers the region of the UK as appointed by the Sales & Marketing Manager. The role includes directly selling to Contractors and end users and providing technical support to consultants.
In addition to meeting the regional equipment sales objective, the Internal Sales Engineer will on occasion be tasked in assisting with purchase order requisitions and expediting, onboarding new customers, but more importantly, assist in revenue forecasting and processing sales orders for equipment.
Internal Sales Main Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Equipment Sales Manager & Regional Business Development Manager to develop and deliver proposals.
2. Directly sell to contractors and end users and secure new business for all products, across all market sectors in the region.
3. Gain consultant acceptance of equipment by participating in or delivering Continuing Professional Development presentations.
4. Manage key Supplier and Customer relationships.
Specific Job Functions:
1. Receive and filter new email requests for quotation and respond to telephone enquiries.
2. Maintain and manage a pipeline of live projects and report on any that are not won.
3. Ensure all follow-ups are completed on any proposal sent to customers.
4. Generate high quality technical proposals for selected projects.
5. Forecast orders expected by month and by quarter and on revenue by month.
Education/Experience:
1. Engineering background preferred but not essential.
2. Experience of selling Equipment and Service.
3. Based near High Wycombe.
4. Goal-oriented, organized team player.
5. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
6. Proven experience in account management.
7. Strong computer literacy including Sage ERP and MS Office would be desirable.
