We are looking for an Assistant Buyer who can offer support to the Buying & Merchandising department within our mail order clothing business (home of the brands "Country Collection", "James Meade" and "The Classic Boutique"), based in Brampton, Cumbria.
We are an employee-owned company (part of the WCF Ltd family) offering Ladies & Mens clothing to the mature market.
This role will involve: Working alongside the Head of Buying and Designer on own product range; range planning and building as well as reviewing weekly sales to determine any trade actions required, assisting the HOB on sourcing projects across all product departments, managing the import and export of goods within the business, monitoring the market through regular benchmarking and competition shopping activities and working with the Media forecaster to develop ideas for new customer acquisition.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Relevant experience in working with FMCG
- Excellent administration, communication and organisational skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- To be computer literate with a good knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office
- To have the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
