Gallery Researcher
Elizabeth Xi Bauer is looking for a proactive, hardworking and articulate researcher to join the team.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist programme planning with artistic director: organise curatorial information between artistic director, curators and artists to liaise with and deliver research material for press office use and sales team, working to several deadlines simultaneously.
2. Research tasks related to artists, exhibitions and events – internal and external projects, good at setting and sticking to deadlines, and prioritising.
3. Organise documents such as artwork image credits, artist biographies, and artist CVs for press and exhibition use.
4. Proofread written material written by artistic director, curators and head of press.
5. Artist liaison activities: organising approval process between artistic director and artists/consigning galleries to deliver final approval to press office, handling items from collaborations with consigning galleries.
6. Researching art market data such as auctions, artists, trends etc.
7. Meeting visitors at the gallery and discussing the exhibitions, artworks, artists and processes.
8. Boosting gallery outreach across new and existing platforms.
9. Researching art events and opportunities for the gallery to be part of.
10. Researching awards, prizes and residencies for artists.
11. Managing social media: creating content and posting, researching ideas for growth.
12. Adding exhibition and company information to various platforms, such as exhibitions, art fairs, artwork images and information etc.
13. Updating the website, artwork images, titles, documents, exhibitions, news etc.
14. Assisting in planning and installing exhibitions.
15. Assisting in organising publications and written materials.
16. Assisting before, during and after private views at the galleries.
