The Role
A well-established not-for-profit organisation is seeking a Procurement Officer to provide a compliant and efficient procurement service. The role involves managing the full tender process, ensuring all frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems (DPS), and contracts adhere to Public Contract Regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage public procurement processes, including frameworks and DPS agreements
* Draft and publish high-quality tender documentation and notices
* Manage the tender process through an online procurement portal
* Evaluate supplier submissions, including complex pricing data
* Conduct financial credit checks on contractors and suppliers
* Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders, supporting mini-competitions and contract awards
* Keep up to date with Public Contract Regulations and best practices
About You
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and proactive, with experience in public sector procurement. Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Strong knowledge of Public Contract Regulations and tendering processes
* Experience in procurement of goods, works, or services via formal tenders
* Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
