SEND Learning Support Assistant -Leatherhead
Special Needs School Age 11 - 16 years
Salary: £96 - £115 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4pm
The Role: As an SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students with a variety of needs, including but not limited to autism, learning disabilities, and social-emotional challenges. Your role will involve supporting individual students or small groups, helping to implement strategies that aid their learning and development, and working alongside teachers to ensure a positive learning experience for all.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with SEND
* Assist in the development and delivery of tailored learning plans
* Support the emotional and social development of students
* Help manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
* Encourage independence and self-confidence in students
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in supporting children with SEND (ideally within a secondary school setting)
* A compassionate and patient approach to working with children
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of students
* A proactive, positive attitude and a passion for making a difference in children's lives
