Salary: £11.92 - £12.54 per hour (£24,793.60 - £26,083.20 per annum)
£30 sleep in payment per mandatory sleep in shift (£2,880 based on 2 sleep ins per week)
Plus, an additional overtime pay of 1.25x your hourly rate.
Hours: 40 hours per week on a rotational basis (rota provided 4 weeks in advance)
Shift Patterns: 2 – 3 shifts per week (Typical shift pattern is 2 on 4 off. 08:00am until 11:00pm – with sleep in)

We are looking for Children's Residential Care Workers to join our home within Cardington, Sandy in Bedfordshire who can establish meaningful relationships creating a positive, warm, and rewarding environment. We need somebody who can provide a supportive role in the lives of young people, able to give advice, assistance and support in order to help empower them in addressing past and present difficulties.
The nature of the work is dynamic and diverse, with each day presenting new and unique tasks – no two days are the same! As a Residential Care Worker, you'll need to be adaptable, flexible and a pro at reading situations to guide our young people towards making positive choices.
This is a permanent role and will be supporting both children and young adults within a CSE (Child Sexual Exploitation) residential setting for girls and boys aged from 7-18.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing emotional support during challenging times.
2. Building strong and healthy relationships with them in order to help the children and young people learn to trust again.
3. Working as a key worker to one of the young people.
4. Helping them build resilience and self-confidence.
5. Teaching the young people and children boundaries and help them learn what a healthy relationship looks like.
6. Fostering ambition in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximising their potential.
7. Offering support in the educational pursuits of young individuals.
8. Maintaining accurate records and preparing written reports for planning meetings, reviews or any other meetings as directed by the line manager.
9. Empowering young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future.
10. Acting as an advocate in meetings where the young person is the subject of discussion.
11. Encouraging community engagement, attending off-site activities, and expanding their personal social networks.
12. Meeting the needs of children and young people, organising social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning shopping etc.).
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements:
1. Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
2. Full UK driving license preferable.
3. No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people.
4. Attendance at a 2-week training program required.
5. Must have availability for sleep-in shifts.
