We are seeking a Lead Consultant to join our Epidemiology Consulting practice in London, UK. In this role, you will manage multiple client engagements, providing deep subject matter expertise and strategic guidance in epidemiology. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will oversee client relationships, ensure successful project delivery, and drive business development for our service offerings. Strong project management skills and the ability to develop and maintain long-term client partnerships are essential for success in this role. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments MD, or a Masters / PhD in a life science field, or an MBA 8 Years of Relevant experience, preferably in epidemiology consulting Specialisation in Real World Data / Evidence and/or Epidemiology, with knowledge of related domains such as Clinical Development, Regulatory, HEOR and Pricing and Market Access Proficient with MS Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Extensive project management experience across small-medium-large sized project/case teams, and a range of project scopes and sizes (i.e., $150K to $1M) It would be great if you also have. .. Strong working knowledge of at least 2 to 3 high-interest therapy areas such as rare diseases, oncology, neurology, diabetes, auto-immune disease, and metabolism Experience working in an international environment which includes the US and Europe, and preferably with exposure to Emerging Markets What will you be doing in this role? Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare customers, managing relationships and setting clear expectations for business and operational outcomes. Drive healthcare customer engagements from proposal through to project completion, overseeing budgets, timelines, and ensuring alignment with customer-specific goals and requirements. Lead project teams in large-scale healthcare engagements by coordinating team efforts, delegating tasks effectively, and ensuring that all activities align with project objectives and deadlines. Execute complex analytical tasks and research efforts by applying advanced healthcare analytics methods, synthesizing large clinical and operational datasets, and interpreting findings to generate actionable insights for improving customer performance and organizational efficiency. Develop and implement new analytical approaches and solutions tailored to address specific healthcare challenges and customer needs. Mentor and guide junior consultants in their professional development and project execution, with a focus on healthcare-related skills and knowledge. Provide thought leadership and contribute to the enhancement of consulting methodologies, ensuring they are relevant to current healthcare trends and challenges. Take ownership of business development opportunities in healthcare by leading the process from understanding customer needs and developing proposals to presenting solutions and managing customer objections. About the Team Our Epidemiology Consulting team partners with clients to deliver integrated health economics, outcomes research, value communications, and evidence strategy, helping to shape clinical performance, patient outcomes, and business success. The team consists of seven epidemiology experts based in the UK and India, specializing in epidemiological and real-world evidence (RWE)-based insights and solutions. We leverage secondary data sources and real-world data (RWD) from the US and Europe to provide strategic epidemiological insights that support key stakeholders in commercial, HEOR, and market access roles. Hours of Work This is a full-time permanent position based in London, UK, and will require hybrid working in our Liverpool Street office (2-3 days per week in the office, rest of the week remote). This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
