Bournemouth West Locality Community Mental Health Team is looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team Full Time.
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide comprehensive community mental health services to a locality population of 79,000 patients aged 18-65.
You will be expected to provide assessment and ongoing care for patients within the Sector, along with advice and guidance for GPs and clinical leadership of the multi-professional team.
You will take part in the on-call rota. The weekly on-call rota is Dorset wide; at weekends in the East of the county, it is paid at 3% on-call availability supplement PLUS 0.25 APA, and in the West of the county, it is paid at 3% on-call availability supplement PLUS 0.75 APA.
You will be expected to maintain Section 12 (2) and be an Approved Clinician.

Relocation: We can provide a generous relocation package of up to £10,000 if you are interested in moving to our beautiful county.
Recruitment and Retention: A payment of £10,000 to be paid in monthly instalments for the first year of employment.
Bournemouth West CMHT is a well-established multidisciplinary team with excellent relationships with other services. The base, Turbary Park, provides comprehensive community-based services to patients registered with general practitioners within Bournemouth. The coastline around Bournemouth and the wider area is an area of great natural beauty and vibrant local culture, offering a fantastic work-life balance.
You will be expected to comply with continuing professional development and revalidation requirements set by the GMC and the Royal College of Psychiatrists and remain in good standing for CPD with the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
We are in the process of rolling out and embedding the exciting new mental health offer in Dorset as part of the large-scale transformation work and are building and developing successful relationships with Primary care and the Community.
