Our client, an international Freight Forwarder, is seeking an Internal Sales Executive - Freight Forwarding to join their team in the Chelmsford area.
Responsibilities:
1. Follow up on in-bound leads with an aim to convert these into new booked business.
2. Build and maintain client relationships.
3. Responsible for ad-hoc enquiries which can involve some freight enquiries.
4. Dealing with both existing clients and prospects.
5. Working closely with the sales department to ensure customer requirements are met.
6. Following through sales leads and negotiating with overseas agents and suppliers.
Requirements:
1. Experience working within the Freight Forwarding industry.
2. Shipping experience.
3. Experience selling services to importers.
4. Experience handling cold calls.
5. Capable of calculating costs and quotes.
6. Knowledge of Multi freight system.
7. Good customer service and sales skills.
8. Ability to work in a team but also be self-sufficient.
