We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will work with children who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to support children with their learning, including providing one-to-one support, small group work and assisting with classroom management.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content
Work 1:1 with children with SEN
Work coherently with teachers in providing support for students
Have a passion for assisting students
Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom
Have experience working 1:1 with children who have barriers to learning (ASD, ADHD, PMLD, VI, HI)
Experience working within an SEN school setting or social care
Promote and encourage independence and personal development
Candidates that have been successful within this setting have had some experience in any of the following:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
