Role Overview
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Field Service will oversee the efficient execution of field service operations, ensuring that our field service team aligns with company objectives such as revenue growth, cost management, and customer satisfaction. This role demands a strategic and hands-on leader capable of driving operational success and identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Focus
* Align field service operations with business revenue goals in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team.
* Identify and implement cost-saving measures while preserving service quality and customer satisfaction.
* Develop strategies to improve team productivity, sales performance, and customer retention.
* Work on pricing models, margin improvement, and upsell/cross-sell initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Operational Management
* Lead, coach, and develop field service teams to achieve operational KPIs and exceptional performance.
* Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and safety standards.
* Analyze operational metrics and take action to close performance gaps.
* Implement operational best practices to maintain consistency and scalability.
Stakeholder Management
* Serve as the main liaison between field service operations and senior leadership, reporting on performance, risks, and opportunities.
* Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure readiness for market demands.
* Foster strong relationships with key clients and partners to drive repeat business and long-term contracts.
Team Leadership
* Recruit, onboard, and train field service staff to ensure the team is skilled and knowledgeable.
* Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* Manage team schedules, resource allocation, and workload distribution effectively.
Compliance and Risk Management
* Ensure field operations comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety protocols.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to field operations and client engagements.
Ideal Candidate Criteria
* Proven experience in field service operations or similar roles in commercially-driven environments.
* Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and capitalize on revenue-generating opportunities.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills with experience leading large, dispersed teams.
* Data-driven decision-making with a strong understanding of KPIs and financial metrics.
* Exceptional communication skills with a history of building strong stakeholder relationships.
* Proficiency in project management tools, CRM systems, and operations software.
* Willingness to travel as required.
