Job Summary Prodrive Recruitment Ltd are seeking an experienced Production Machine Operator to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of automated packing machinery while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are met. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in the warehousing and production process, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations. Candidates are also required to have a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. Please note: Regular lifting of up to 25kg is a requirement of this role so candidates must be physically fit. Responsibilities · Operation of automated packing equipment to fill paper bags. · Carryout process checks - metal detector, checkweigher verification and seal integrity. · Remove pallets from robot, wrap and store using a pallet shuttle. · Warehousing operations for storage and picking. · To assist with loading vehicles and containers for despatch of goods. · To ensure that the housekeeping standards are maintained at all times. · To ensure company safety, health & environmental procedures are complied with and that safe systems of work are implemented. · To perform any other duties that may be required. Qualifications Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Basic levels of literacy and numeracy Practical ability – operation of plant and machinery Forklift truck certified Excellent problem-solving skills, demonstrating logical thinking in troubleshooting scenarios. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Good physical stamina, capable of standing for extended periods and lifting materials as needed. A proactive attitude towards safety practices in the workplace.
