Responsibilities
:
1. Visit project sites regularly and maintain close communication with the production team.
2. Collaborate with estimators to review and refine tenders, ensuring client requirements are met and opportunities for cost-effective solutions are identified.
3. Provide early-stage cost advice on project variations and ensure only authorized changes are executed.
4. Review and validate technical drawings, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order for each project.
5. Manage the commercial aspects of projects from start to finish, maximizing value while liaising with Finance and Procurement teams.
6. Ensure commercial responsibilities are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
7. Analyse rates and prices, negotiating and agreeing on variations or compensation events as required.
8. Assess potential financial risks and work with third parties to resolve outstanding issues through reasonable solutions.
9. Produce accurate profit forecasts on a monthly and annual basis, maintaining projections throughout the project.
10. Promote and adhere to safety protocols across all sites and projects.
11. Coordinate subcontractor work allocations and assist with procurement processes when needed.
Candidate Requirements:
12. Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role.
13. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and other essential computer applications.
14. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
15. Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
16. A high level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
