WHAT TO EXPECT
This role of Cyber Security Engineer will involve developing and supporting cyber security processes and methods, as part of the corporate CSMS & SUMS required for UNECE R155 & R156 compliance.
As well as working with new and exciting technologies to provide global services for the connected car of the future, you will have the opportunity to impact and influence a technology platform used by hundreds of thousands of our customers daily, solving difficult engineering challenges on a global scale. You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the upcoming legislation and standards such as UNECE.R155, UNECE. R156, UNECE. R157 and ISO21434 for systems in manufacturing.
You will support our agile teams across OT Cyber Excellence, who are focused on cyber security manufacturing systems, and will be a part of a wider vehicle cyber security chapter ensuring the resilience and compliance of all our customer products are up to standard.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Review UNECE R155 & R156 regulations for any changes or specific controls that have been suggested applicable to JLR, by attending any review forums.
2. Provide support to the UNECEr155/156/157 programme team for Cybersecurity risk and compliance matters regarding manufacturing systems, identifying best practices from across a range of industries to shape the most effective ways of working within JLR.
3. Support in-house software development activities (i.e., all software apps developed internally must be captured in the asset register and vulnerabilities should be tracked; JLR information security design and standards should be maintained).
4. Accountable for the Business Continuity Plan for the plant tested with threat scenarios by producing simulations using multiple scenarios and threat vectors.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
This role sits within the Global Manufacturing Engineering Cyber Security in Gaydon and would suit those who are technically minded; be that from a cyber security background and/or those with a software engineering background. We are ideally looking for someone with automotive experience but will consider those who have come from a similar industry such as defence, aerospace, medical, rail, etc.
1. Previous experience in security governance risk and compliance across a number of industry sectors.
2. Practical experience performing TARA and security case.
3. Detailed understanding of the application of UNECE.R155 and ISO21434.
4. Knowledge of automotive architectures, communication protocols, and technologies.
5. Experience with using JIRA, Lucid, Visio, etc.
