Business Support is key to the success of our Children’s Services because our Business Support teams are there, making sure things run smoothly, so that our frontline colleagues can deliver for children and families in the community. All that work in the background doesn’t just happen, it takes dedicated colleagues, taking pride in their work and seeing a purpose in the work they are doing.
We have an opportunity for a Business Support Administrator working within Corporate Operations, Business and Executive Support, South Staffs District Children and Families at our Codsall office.
We are looking for someone to provide a high level of business support administration to work to support the SEND Hub area of work.
This is a permanent position.
The hours of work are Monday-Thursday 8.30am-5.00pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.
You will be predominantly office based, although some home working is arranged on a rota basis dependent on the demands of the service.
Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities include:
* Servicing meetings: coordinating the circulation of agendas and papers; scheduling; attendance at meetings and taking and distributing appropriate notes.
* Completing a range of administrative tasks ensuring compliance with statutory deadlines in accordance with business processes and service level agreements.
* Accurately input and maintain appropriate information systems.
* Assisting with a range of financial transactions.
* Producing high quality documents in supporting district-based staff.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally we are looking for you to have:
* GCSE English and Maths
* IT Qualification (ICDL Advanced (L3) or equivalent)
* NVQ 3 in Business Administration
* Good written and oral communication skills
* Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 and computer-based information systems in an office environment
* The ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
