Are you a dedicated, confident person, who wants to combine their passion for working with children and working in the outdoors? Long - term Teachers are working with an independent special school, registered for 32 students aged 11 to 18 with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties which opened in April 2009.
Key Tasks:
* To plan, prepare and deliver high quality outdoor and off site activities, liaising with teaching staff and SLT as required.
* To set clear targets for pupils’ learning and progress, building on prior attainment and considering each pupil as an individual.
* To have regard for the special educational needs of pupils
* To assess pupil work and progress giving regular feedback in line with school policy
* To maintain a stimulating, engaging and safe learning environment, managing behaviour in line with school policy.
* To prepare and keep up to date the relevant Risk Assessments.
* To carry out duties with full regard to the school’s Health and Safety procedures.
* To undertake such additional responsibilities as required.
About you:
1. GCSE Grade 4 in English and Maths or equivalent
2. A willingness to participate in training where learning needs are identified
