Job Title: Control Engineer
Location: Liverpool, UK
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum. (Graduates considered)
Hours: Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 1pm (WFH Wednesday & Friday) 37.5 hours including flexible working between 7:30 - 9:30 & 16:00 - 18:00.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Control Engineer to design and develop control aspects of machinery to a project specification and in line with the project schedule and budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Confer with engineers, customers and other 3rd parties to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
2. Design, implement, maintain and improve electrical control instrumentation, equipment, facilities, components, products and systems. Including but not limited to E-Plan, DraftSight.
3. Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
4. Direct and co-ordinate construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes and customer requirements.
5. Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
6. Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of control theory to engineering projects.
7. Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
8. Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
9. Investigate and test vendors' and competitors' products.
10. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed to a satisfactory technical standard.
11. Prepare and study technical drawings and specifications of control systems to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements.
12. Investigate customer complaints, determine nature and extent of problem and recommend remedial measures.
13. Occasional requirement to assist with the development of budgets, estimating labour, material and construction costs.
14. Compile data and write reports relating to technical equipment testing, Supplier NCR's and equipment malfunctions.
15. Occasional requirement to provide IQ / OQ support on site.
16. Knowledge of Gamp5, V-Model.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
2. Graduates considered

6. Good IT skills including MS Office
7. Ability to work as part of a team

This role will be office based but will require an incumbent to also work within our clients assembly area during a projects life cycle. Some travel to client sites may also be required including international travel from time to time (once or twice a year).
