* Sat: 05:00 - 23:00
Pay: Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.28 an hour; this increases to £15.41 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.
We offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.
We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues, therefore if the times you’re available to work match closely but not exactly to the times we are advertising, we’d still love to hear from you.

As a Shift Leader at Tesco, you will oversee the store operations, help customers, and support your colleagues.
As a Shift Leader, you’ll:
* Work in a fast-paced retail environment, with bags of variety
* Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store
* Be there for customers, listening to them and helping to ensure they leave satisfied
* Look for ways to improve service, including coaching your colleagues
* Guide and support your colleagues in-store to maintain a safe environment
* Maintain a great understanding of store performance
* Lead from the front, setting an example for your colleagues

You will be responsible for:
* Coordinating the store team to deliver a great shopping experience
* Supporting your colleagues and ensuring they take regular breaks
* Opening and closing the store, ensuring safety
* Being the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager
* Maintaining a clean and well-presented store
* Supporting managers in coordinating events
* Contributing to a positive team atmosphere
* Providing great customer service
* Keeping the team informed on communications and updates
* Looking for ways to improve operations
* Following health and safety procedures
* Recognizing and celebrating great service
