2D & 3D Draughtsperson – Structural Steelwork

The Role
Working within a small fabrications office team, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of structural steelwork to the wastewater, energy, and transport sectors.
Assisting the office team by producing general arrangement and detailed fabrication drawings. Undertaking site surveys and producing provisional drawings and BOMS to enable the estimating team, providing accurate quotations to clients in a timely manner.
As a CAD Technician, you will:
Produce general arrangement and detailed fabrication drawings.
Undertake site surveys and prepare provisional drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support the estimating team.
Ensure timely and accurate quotations for clients by collaborating with team members.
Essential Skills and Experience
Strong knowledge of structural steelwork.
Proven experience in medium/heavy engineering industries.
Proficiency in producing 2D AutoCAD drawings to BSEN standards.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Previous experience in the water industry or on construction sites.
Confined space training certification.
Familiarity with 3D software packages such as Advanced Steel, or a willingness to learn.
