Our client is a leading food manufacturing company, the site is part of a larger group, with sites throughout Europe. Due to growth and further expansion within the factory, they are looking for a shift engineer (mechanically biased) to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities:
Carry out electrical & mechanical fault finding, PPM's, repairs and of all site food production & packaging machinery
Electrical & mechanical fault finding & repairs
Manual machining - milling, turning, grinding, use of lathes
Projects & continuous improvement work
Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, shafts, drives, sensors, chains
PLC - electrical fault finding - Siemens & Allen Bradley
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Must be a mechanically biased shift engineer
Used manual milling & turning machines, lathes
PLC - electrical fault finding skills
Must have worked in some form of fast-paced manufacturing - ideally food
Dealt with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sensors, drives, gearboxes, bearings
Must have completed some form of apprenticeship - NVQ Level 3 or higher
17thor 18th Edition beneficial
