A vacancy has arisen for a keen and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our friendly Older Adult Community Mental Health team. We are looking for Occupational Therapists who have existing experience as a Band 5 and are looking to develop their knowledge, skills, and experience in a supportive environment, with a strong and clear Occupational Therapy ethos. We also welcome applicants who are already practicing at Band 6 level but are looking for something new and exciting.
You will join the Occupational Therapists within a well-established multi-disciplinary community mental health team (CMHT), based at Humphrey Booth Resource Centre in Salford. The CMHT provides a specialist mental health service to older adults and their carers across Salford.

The post holder will hold a caseload of service users whose needs are around Occupational identity, performance, and participation. They will provide assessment and intervention aimed at improving these areas in order for the service users to live the lives they want and need. The post holder will be the named care coordinator for identified clients. The post holder will be required to work weekends, bank holidays, and duty on a rota basis.
Main duties of the job

They will provide assessment and intervention aimed at improving these areas in order for the service users to live the lives they want and need. You will hold the role of care coordinator for an identified number of service users. You would be required to work weekends (1 in 12), occasional bank holidays, and duty on a rota basis.
You will join the Occupational Therapists within a well-established multi-disciplinary community mental health team (CMHT), based at Humphrey Booth Resource Centre in Salford. The OT team consists of a band 5-6 progression Occupational Therapist, two band 6 Senior Occupational Therapists, and a Band 7 Occupational Therapy Senior Practitioner. The CMHT provides a specialist mental health service to older adults and their carers across Salford. The Occupational Therapy pathway is well established and is continuing to develop in line with forward-thinking Community Transformation plans, which support our professionals to practice in a way that closely aligns to their professional training and backgrounds.
You will be provided with a full range of mandatory training and CPD opportunities with a particular emphasis on developing skills within the Model of Human Occupation.
We have an involved and supportive professional lead for AHP in Salford and a newly appointed Director of AHP's for GMMH.
