Job Overview We are seeking a Temporary Works Design Co-ordinator with a minimum of 5 years experience, who is either already chartered or actively working towards chartership. If you are not chartered, then you will be expected to review the design and overseeing a wide range of temporary works solutions, but mostly on scaffold design. You will oversee the Company’s procedures and overhaul their responsibilities with respect to TWD and ensure the design and structure on site is in accordance with the specification. You will ensure the designs meet the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance and liaise with site, clients and external design houses. Key Responsibilities Design & Analysis: • Conduct detailed structural calculations and analyses to ensure design integrity and safety. Technical Documentation: • Review detailed design drawings from the Design House, technical reports, specifications, and documentation in accordance with relevant standards and project requirements. • Ensure that all design documentation is clear, comprehensive, and compliant with industry best practices. Project Collaboration: • Work closely with project managers, site managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure the structure is in accordance with the design. • Provide technical support and guidance during the construction phase, ensuring that the temporary works are implemented safely and efficiently. Compliance & Quality Assurance: • Review Company procedures are in line with local, national, and international codes, standards, and best practices. • Proactively identify potential design risks and implement robust solutions to mitigate them. Innovation & Improvement: • Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and innovative design techniques to continually enhance our temporary works solutions. • Contribute ideas for process improvements and support the ongoing development of the company’s technical expertise. Professional Qualifications: • A degree in Civil, Structural, or a related Engineering discipline. • Chartered status or active progress towards chartership is essential. Experience: • Demonstrable ability to carry out rigorous structural analyses and design calculations. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in industry-standard design software and CAD tools. • Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards.
