Manufacturing Operations Director - Mid Cornwall - Circa: £115,000 (Neg) + Exceptional bonus scheme + enhanced benefits package + relocation support (where required)
The role calls for an expert people manager, developer and mentor with impeccable technical and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will assume pivotal responsibility for the success of a complex manufacturing facility and will be the site number-one.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, manage, and execute all aspects of manufacturing controls to ensure exceptional efficiency that meets rigorous customer demands.
2. Design, implement, and develop ongoing process and cost control efficiencies, assuming complete P&L responsibility.
3. Manage all aspects of value stream activities ensuring strict adherence to high-quality product standards that meet regulatory requirements.
4. Lead, develop, and motivate a large team of direct and indirect reports.
5. Ensure that sound H&S policy and practice resonate throughout the site.
6. Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer support colleagues, acting as a senior ambassador to major clients.
7. Analyze tooling effectiveness and pioneer material waste reduction strategies.
8. Lead commentary related to site performance, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
9. Undertake a degree of national and international travel where required.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A highly experienced manufacturing and/or engineering professional with at least three years of recently gained experience in a similar position.
2. A business or engineering degree.
3. A dynamic, people-oriented change agent with a passion for driving and supporting teams, providing mentorship and developing people.
4. Superb manufacturing and production expertise with a strong knowledge of lean tooling, equipment, mechanics, and value streams.
5. Exceptional commercial awareness.
6. A sound understanding of P&L, budgets, forecasting, and cost controls.
7. Strong IT aptitude (MS Office and bespoke digital tools).
This is a full-time, permanent position operating from our client's site in mid Cornwall. Base salary circa £115,000 + exceptional bonus scheme + enhanced benefits package + relocation support (where required).
