The Role
Are you an experienced campaigner who knows how to cut through the noise, shift public opinion, and win political battles? At Best for Britain, we believe that when we change minds, we change politics for the better. We’re looking for a campaigner who loves digital to lead our online strategy, drive high-impact campaigns, and ensure our message reaches the right people at the right time.
You’ll be at the centre of the biggest political debates of our time, working directly with senior politicians, journalists, and campaigners to shape the conversation on Brexit, democracy, and the future of the UK’s relationship with Europe. What are the key tasks?
* Owning Best for Britain’s digital strategy, from big-picture thinking to day-to-day execution.
* Creating and delivering high-impact digital campaigns that drive political change.
* Running social media and content strategies that react in real time to political events.
* Leading digital advertising and mobilisation campaigns to reach key audiences and decision-makers.
* Using data and insights to refine campaign strategy and maximise impact.
* Working with senior political figures, journalists, and influencers to amplify our message.
* Managing agencies, freelancers, and budgets to ensure every campaign delivers.
Person Specification
Essential
* A sharp, news-hungry individual who thrives in a fast-paced political environment
* Experience leading digital campaigns and mobilising online audiences
* Hands-on experience and deep knowledge of digital advertising, social media and email mobilisation for campaigns
* Ability to use data to measure, optimise and scale impact
* Experience leading a small team, with the ability to delegate effectively, provide clear direction, and support team members to deliver high-quality work
* Outstanding copywriting and attention to detail
* Experience managing a large supporter base, with the ability to craft targeted campaign narratives that engage different parts of an audience and drive meaningful action
* Hands-on experience with website tools such as Nationbuilder, Wordpress, Squarespace or similar
* Affinity with Best for Britain's political aims and values
* Reliable, resilient and able to juggle multiple priorities in a constantly changing campaign environment
* Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable
* Deep knowledge and understanding of politics, current political issues, the different UK parties as well as their priorities, sensitivities and nuances
* Knowledge of EU institutions and wider geopolitics
* Experience in brand development and management
* Hands-on graphic design experience using tools such as the Adobe suite
* Video editing skills, e.g. using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
