Job Description:
Reporting directly to the Head of Risk, this position will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in the management of organizational risk.
Key duties include contributing to risk-related projects, developing and updating risk registers, maintaining procedures to mitigate risk, and performing second-line controls within the Enterprise Risk Management Framework. Furthermore, the role requires a commitment to enhancing the CA Auto Finance brand through alignment with the organization's core vision and values.
GENERAL DUTIES:
1. Assist in identifying, measuring and monitoring potential risks throughout the business, liaising with key stakeholders.
2. Perform quarterly second line controls to monitor risks within the businesses and support the first line in creating action plans to mitigate any highlighted risks.
3. Observe and participate in relevant meetings to gain an extensive overview of different departments.
4. Perform research and analysis on risk topics, working in both Microsoft Excel and through SAP Business Objects.
5. Work on ad-hoc & recurring annual projects including segregation of duty analysis and operational risk mapping for the Risk department.
6. Work closely with CA Auto Bank Headquarters on new and emerging Risk management techniques and requirements.
7. Satisfactorily complete assignments within established timeframes.
8. Responsibly handle highly sensitive and confidential information.
ABILITY AND SKILLS PROFILE:
1. Be detail-oriented, well organized and able to prioritise assignments with limited supervision.
2. Be able to follow through process chains and document findings in a clear way and where appropriate identify risks to the company and provide recommendations on how to control those risks.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to identify process improvements and work with the Head of Risk to implement improvements.
5. Ability to achieve required performance targets.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A graduate from a numerate discipline, ideally Business or Economics, at 2:1 level or higher.
IT SKILLS PROFILE:
1. Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to Intermediate level.
