Team Manager - Development Management
Grade: Grade 10 £50,788 to £54,928
Sheffield is a vibrant, green and ambitious city (‘The Outdoor City’) which has seen significant investment and regeneration in recent years, and this is set to continue.
To help us realise our ambitions for growth, to drive up the quality of new development and to be a net zero carbon city by 2030, we are seeking an experienced manager to lead one of our busy Development Management teams.
We are looking for someone suitably qualified who can make an immediate impact. You should have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage a demanding workload to meet statutory and service targets. You will have a minimum of 5 years development management experience at a senior level, including experience in handling a range of complex applications and appeals, and be able to support, motivate and develop your team to make high quality planning decisions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Your role will include making delegated decisions and presenting applications to the Planning and Highways Committee.

The Planning Service is located in the city centre, close to the award-winning Peace Gardens, Winter Garden and ‘Heart of the City’ regeneration project.
