Area Sales Manager (Automation) - Midlands region - £50,000 - £65,000
Orion are looking for a driven Area Sales Manager to join our rapidly growing client to grow their market presence in the UK by leveraging their innovative solutions for the packaging industry. This role focuses on growing sales of new equipment products, managing existing customer relationships, and securing new business in diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities of this Area Sales Manager role:
1. Sales Growth: Drive sales in current accounts and develop new accounts to meet targets.
2. Client Engagement: Engage with clients from SMEs to multinationals across sectors including Frozen Foods, Ice-cream, Proteins, Ready Meals, and more.
3. Collaborative Selling: Partner with technical teams to align solutions with client needs.
4. Market Insights: Monitor competitors and industry trends to strengthen our market position.
5. Sales Tools & CRM: Use tools like LinkedIn, Protel, and maintain CRM records for forecasting.
6. Trade Events: Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
7. Promote Services: Highlight services such as contracts and spare parts to deepen client relationships.
Requirements:
1. Proven B2B sales experience within the automation sector either from an OEM or systems integrator.
2. Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
3. Ability to travel across the midlands and further south (approximately 75% of working time).
