Fire and Security Engineer Location: South Yorkshire Area Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Overtime, Bonus, and Additional Benefits About the Role We are seeking an experienced and skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team in the South Yorkshire area. The role involves the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and security systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and delivering exceptional customer service. You will work across various sites, providing technical support and ensuring that all systems function effectively and safely. Key Responsibilities Installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, including conventional and addressable alarms Service and maintenance of intruder alarms and associated security systems Fault finding and troubleshooting on fire and security systems Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and codes of practice (e.g., BS5839, EN50131, PD6662) Carrying out system commissioning and upgrades Customer-facing role, providing professional support and guidance Completing all relevant documentation and reporting as required Experience and Qualifications Required Proven experience as a Fire and Security Engineer, with a strong background in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems and intruder alarms Knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g., conventional and addressable) and security systems (e.g., intruder alarms) Experience working with industry standards such as BS5839, EN50131, and PD6662 Certification in fire alarm systems (e.g., FIA or equivalent) NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) is highly desirable Full UK driving license Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience Overtime opportunities to boost earnings Performance-related bonus Company vehicle, fuel card, uniform, and PPE provided 28 days holiday, including bank holidays Pension scheme Ongoing training and career development opportunities Employee assistance program Call-out rota and standby payments Discretionary travel supplement for long-distance travel Hours Standard working hours are 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday Flexible working hours and overtime opportunities available Occasional out-of-hours work as required If you are an experienced Fire and Security Engineer based in the South Yorkshire area and are looking for a rewarding opportunity with a competitive salary and excellent benefits, we want to hear from you
