Energis is currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Manager for our Food Manufacturing client in Co Tyrone. The successful Technical Manager will ensure that finished product and raw materials meet product specifications, and that all finished product is produced in accordance with requirements of Legislative and Regulatory Bodies. Responsibilities: Managing key interactions with customers and outside agencies / suppliers – particularly with respect to the effective receipt, logging, investigation, reporting and trending of incoming customer complaints, defect reports and quality alerts or enquiries. Take the lead for technical in audits. Manage the budget for individual sites. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality standards. Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards are implemented, maintained and adhered to. Maintain the food safety and quality system. Manage and motivate all team members, ensure they are supported to deliver departmental KPIs Aid in the recruitment, retention and staff development processes to ensure the team always has the correct resources. Prioritise and manage the workload / activities for the site and delegate duties to subordinates for best efficiency. Detect and rectify any issues in a timely manner, which affects the performance / safety of plant or equipment. Champion industry best practices and promote the introduction of new technologies, where applicable. Ensure food safety legislation and guidelines as well as company policies are adhered to. Criteria: Previous experience as a Technical Manager within food OR a strong Quality Manager looking to take the next step up Strong customer focus High-level organisational skills and time-management.
