More detail about the role Our team consists of four Orthodontic Consultants, two Orthodontic Specialty Trainees, one Speciality Doctor in Orthodontics as well as a part time Orthodontic Therapist (in addition to this vacancy). The unit is supported by a well-established team of dental care professionals alongside a bespoke Orthodontic laboratory. It aims to provide a service that is patient-focused, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. The Orthodontic department is situated in a bright and newly furbished open plan clinic environment with X-ray facilities. In this role you will: Provide an orthodontic service implementing care plans and performing non-complex orthodontic procedures. Provide a specialist contribution to the clinical management of patients requiring orthodontic treatment working in collaboration with multidisciplinary professionals in order to improve patient care. Conduct research and audit on delivery of patient care. Facilitate and participate in audit and quality assurance programmes, and promoting evidence based practice. Responsible for the teaching, mentoring and assessment of students, trainees and professional staff therefore promoting a learning culture. We are looking for someone that: Enjoys being part of a small team Is fabulous with patients Has a Diploma in Orthodontic therapy with an active GDC registration.
