Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Patient Experience Lead, you will:
1. Partner with volunteers, supervisors, and external organisations, including NHS Trusts, community groups, and educational institutions, to enhance services and grow the volunteer network.
2. Manage recruitment, compliance checks, placement, and training of volunteers. Develop strategies to attract and retain an accomplished and diverse volunteer base.
3. Support and mentor the Volunteer Services Administration Assistant, while addressing volunteer performance or conduct issues with compassion.
4. Uphold policies, legislation, and safeguarding standards, incorporating feedback to improve services.
5. Develop volunteer opportunities, organise dynamic recruitment events, and promote a culture of appreciation by recognising volunteers' contributions.
