With a close-knit team of around 230 colleagues including 26 Partners across offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London, Turcan Connell’s comprehensive service covers everything required for efficient tax, estate and succession planning and advises on the many aspects of land and property management and transactions. We also handle the complexities of divorce and family law, employment law and dispute resolution advice as well as providing a range of business law services to our clients.
Vacancy
We have a new opportunity for a Records Assistant to join our Office Services team who provide essential support to our legal and tax colleagues. The role is based full-time in our Edinburgh office and is on a permanent basis. Our core hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 33.75 hours per week.
Our Records team complete requests relating to files, deeds and documents current in storage and documents going to store; all documents are entered onto our internal systems and then sent off site to storage with Iron Mountain.
The Records Assistant will scan Wills, Powers of Attorney and other deeds as required and assist in the smooth running of the deliveries/pickups within the office. The successful candidate will assist with processing the return of files and documents to our external storage providers and undertake a review of files in compliance with the Firm’s File Retention Policy.
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and a high attention to detail and accuracy is essential. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and experience with dealing with colleagues of all levels. You will have knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and full training on the Firm’s systems will be provided.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work on their own initiative and be able to work as part of a team. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise your workload is required.
