The post holder will provide business and administrative support as necessary to the team and support unit managers is daily tasks. Provide general administrative support including photocopying, filing, scanning, organising meetings, minute taking, developing and utilising standard letters, pre-formatted documents and PowerPoint presentations to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of support to ensure service needs are met and business levels maintained. Undertake activities connected with supporting the work of the service ensuring that activities are properly operated to achieve optimum efficiency and effectiveness. This may include entering, keeping and updating service user records. Receive telephone and other communications to enable effective liaison and recording of incoming information. Provide information, advice and guidance as required. Screen messages and requests from staff within the services, public and other agencies and organisations and decide upon appropriate course of action, taking advice from other team members where necessary, having regard to the need to preserve an efficient image to the public of the department.
