We're looking for skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Maritime Safety Instructors. This role offers a unique opportunity to share your expertise and passion for the maritime industry with our diverse clientele.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of seafaring experience. Candidates with a background in offshore renewables are also encouraged to apply. Strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to create engaging learning environments are essential. While teaching and assessment qualifications are preferred, we are open to training the right candidate.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality training programs aligned with industry standards. You will conduct hands-on training sessions in both theoretical and practical settings, assess learner progress, and provide constructive feedback. Additionally, you will maintain high standards of training delivery and assessment, and identify opportunities to enhance training programs and methodologies.

Main tasks:
As a Maritime Safety Instructor you will be responsible for:
* Delivering training and assess delegates in accordance with MCA, RYA criteria and GWO training standards
* Preparation of course equipment and resources for both theoretical and practical training.
* Ensure all training is delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures
* Ensure all equipment is maintained and kept in a safe and serviceable condition
* Conduct relevant safety inspections of all equipment
* Promote an engaging, fair and positive learning environment that supports students to get the most from the training we provide; work with a learner centered approach.
* To work collaboratively as an integral part of the team to deliver a consistently high standard of training.
* Contribution towards the development of existing and new training course resources and materials.
* Some travel, both domestic and international, may be required on occasion.
Skills – What We Are Looking For
Essential:
* Physical capabilities to carry out this role and support practical learning; a good level of fitness.
* MCA and GWO approved qualifications. (Basic Safety Training)
* Previous experience in the Maritime and/or Wind Farm industry, Emergency Services or HM Armed Forces.
* Must be a strong communicator in verbal and written English.
* Hold either an ENG-1 Medical or be fit enough to pass one.
* Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
* Relevant qualifications and experience pertaining to the role as described above.
* Confident training delivery style in both classroom and practical setting; the ability to engage learners.
Desirable:
* Basic computing skills.
* A recognised trainer qualification or equivalent is preferred; Award in Education & Training Level 3 or equivalent.
* Experience working collaboratively as part of a team with excellent communication.
* The ability to work independently and take initiative when required.
* High standards of work, and the desire to maintain own competencies.
* Ability to organise and prioritise, with effective time management skills.
* An understanding of health and safety procedures pertaining to the maritime training environment.

Business Operations Manager
Salary:
£28,000 - £35,000 p.a. depending on experience and qualifications.
