Learning Support Assistants Required in Fareham!
Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) looking for your next rewarding role? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for dedicated and skilled LSAs to work with secondary schools in the Fareham area and surrounding locations.
We work closely with a number of schools that require committed and compassionate individuals to support students with a variety of needs, including SEN, SEMH, and additional learning challenges.
- Providing targeted support to students in class, in small groups, or on a one-to-one basis.
- Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
- Encouraging and promoting student independence and confidence in their learning.
- Supporting students with SEN, ensuring their specific needs are met effectively.
- Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour, following school policies and best practices.
- Working closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with students.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, helping them to feel supported and understood.
- Maintain a professional attitude, upholding school values and safeguarding policies.
- Contribute to the planning and evaluation of tailored learning interventions.
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals as required.
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly those with SEN or additional learning needs, is essential.
- A solid understanding of SEN and SEMH and the strategies to support students effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A proactive and team-oriented approach to working within a school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
