LEAD MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (NEWARK) Permanent Days' role (Full-time) £45k Excellent bonus Overtime Van & fuel card Great Benefits package Overview This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer who's able to work as part of a busy plant maintenance team on site, and who's capable of repairing and servicing plant and equipment on the heavier side. Especially quarry and mining equipment. In a nutshell, your job will be to make sure that site plant and machinery is in tip-top condition for the production team operations to run smoothly. This includes any planned and preventative maintenance plans and dealing with any breakdowns or issues as they arise. This will include diagnosing and rectifying any root cause issues, recognising any repeat problems, looking for a solution, and generally anticipating any future issues. This is a predominantly mechanical role. What You'll Need You'll obviously need a few things in your background and experience to show that you're capable of carrying out the tasks in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Proven vocational qualifications and certification within a similar maintenance environment. A minimum would be an NVQ level 3 in plant maintenance or relevant equivalent qualifications. An ability to record your activities and create job cards, parts requests and similar. A proven background within mechanical maintenance on heavy machinery. A full UK driving licenceIf you've worked with earth moving or heavy farming equipment, especially on Komatsu, CAT or Volvo equipment, I'd like to speak to you. And if you carry or are working towards any safety certification, such as IOSH, that would be very useful.
