Sales Team Lead
Location: York, YO30 4TN (5-minute walk from bus routes to Clifton Moor)
The role of the Sales Team Lead is important to us. You will be responsible for the ongoing line management of up to 7 FTE who are primarily outbound sales consultants, acquiring customers who are new to group.
We would love to welcome you to our York office, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
What will you be doing as a Sales Team Lead?
1. Working amongst your team, assisting our fuel card experts in attaining new business, managing customer onboarding, and retaining and developing robust customer relationships through cross-sell
2. A proactive approach to assisting and driving your team reach KPI’s and targets consistently - following up appropriate business leads and actively leading from the front and selling our products where necessary
3. Managing the day-to-day activities of the team to ensure activity/productivity targets are met.
4. Motivating the team to display a winning attitude and in turn consistently exceed sales targets
5. Conducting, documenting, and following up regular performance reviews with your team
6. Dealing with customer escalations and ensuring prompt resolution
What do we expect of you?
7. Experience in a Team Supervisor/Team Leader role – preferably in a sales department
8. Computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Office packages and business CRM platforms such as Salesforce
9. Able to demonstrate a 'common sense' approach to problem solving in the sales environment
10. Manage own workload effectively and support your line manager
11. Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision/non-decision makers
12. Strong team building skills and an ability to build effective relationships with customers
