We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Care Supervisor to join our team based in Portsmouth. Bluebird Care Portsmouth wants to hear from you What is a Care Supervisor? The Care Supervisor will assist the Care Manager in developing and supervising the care assistant team to ensure that a high standard of care is delivered to all customers in the Portsmouth area. You will also regularly review the care plan with the customers, to ensure the highest of customer satisfaction is achieved. The care supervisor will need to be an extremely good customer relations person, presentable and assertive and good with communication skills. You will need to be a driver and have use of your car. This role is sales-driven, so you need to be an organised person with ambition and compassion. What will your day as a Care Supervisor look like; First point of customer contact; visiting potential customers to set up care packages including risk assessments, writing care plans, and dealing with all the administration of the set up. Introducing new staff and managing probation periods & feeding back information to Care Manager on the performance of all staff. Do Quality checks and Customer reviews, Monthly spot checks and supervisions of care staff. Liaising closely with the coordinator, care manager, customers, care assistants and external health care professionals. Assisting in the implementation of any necessary care need changes to ensure a quality service is maintained Ensuring rigorous adherence to all Bluebird Care systems. Helping with auditing files and clearing alerts on our database. Work well with computers and rostering systems as we have all our admin online. Taking on-call duties as part of a team on a rota basis (one weekend a month and one weekday) What are we looking for from our Care Supervisor? A proactive attitude and a passion to deliver high-quality care. High energy and eager to help us to develop this area. Strong people management skills and ideally previous Supervisory or team leader experience Good reporting skills both verbal and written. Strong computer skills as all our care planning is done online. Have a hands-on approach as you might have to help out with care calls in case of emergencies. Be approachable, very communicative and presentable as you are the first point of contact with a potential customer. NVQ/QCF L3 or willing to work towards this qualification.
