Our client is a market leading international Publisher of English Language Teaching (ELT) products, and they are looking to hire a Content Development Editor, preferably with ELT Exams knowledge, on a full-time permanent basis to work hybrid from their bright and open Oxford office, working amongst a friendly and supportive team. You will have experience of editorial / content development, ideally from working on ELT print and digital products for a range of customer types and segments, and knowledge of ELT exams and evaluation. About you The role will be a varied and hands-on position in terms of content development, and will require someone with top-notch project management skills alongside excellent communication skills and a solutions-focused approach. The UK team is small in size but mighty in their impact and work closely with the larger group, and teams based across the globe so we are looking for someone that thrives in an SME environment but who works collaboratively across countries, and demonstrates autonomy and decisiveness. The Role Reporting directly to the Publishing Director and working closely with colleagues you will research, develop and deliver market-leading blended and digital first ELT products. The focus of the Content Development Editor role will be the content development and delivery of core print and digital components of the product offer. Key responsibilities include (amongst others): Demonstrate awareness of the Publishing Strategy and Planning Participate in product research to inform the development of product Input into product concept development, with a focus on scope, sequence and content features Work closely with authors of lead components and provide structured feedback Create briefs for and oversee the work of freelance editors Provide updates on production schedules for assigned components Participate in change management initiatives as required Company This fantastic ELT Publisher forms part of a prestigious, international group, so has the small company feel with the success and stability of a highly established brand and large multi-national organisation.
