We are looking for an HCPC registered Consultant Psychologist ( Clinical, Counselling, Forensic) with experience of working at a Band 8/9(NHS) equivalent level. We will assure ourselves of competency levels of candidates alongside BPS colleagues as part of selection processes.

As part of our Clinical and Care Team you will work to provide organisational strategic leadership for high quality, accessible and inclusive services for people of all ages and needs requiring support from Change Grow Live, working flexibility and contributing to wider strategic aims and the development of the organisation.
Main duties of the job

Providing professional leadership for your own discipline and modelling what good looks like, you will ensure appropriate clinical governance and supervision arrangements for our staff delivering specialist therapies and core psychosocial interventions.
With the support of the Director of Integration and a range of multi-disciplinary colleagues, you will lead and support proactive organisational work programmes.

Leadership
As part of the Clinical and Care Team, provide clinicalleadership to develop and deliver psychology, psychosocial therapy and talkingtherapies across Change Grow Live.
To exercise responsibility for the systematic governance ofpsychological and psychosocial practice within Change Grow Live.
Lead the national group of psychologists and psychologicaltherapies staff (alongside our Head of Volunteering who supports Counsellingleadership) to support the effective delivery of psychological care for peoplewho access Change Grow Lives services and supporting a positive PPoT teamculture.
Provide clinical input and leadership for the developmentand implementation of a fit for purpose and sustainable psychologicalprofessions strategy in partnership with operational leads.
To chair, lead and participate within national/regionalmeetings and steering groups both internally and externally - representingthe profession of psychology strategically, in respect of national servicedevelopment and within governance meetings. contributing psychologicalknowledge and expertise.
Engage in integrated and interdepartmental working, enablingrespect and understanding across registered and unregistered professions.
In addition to clinical management and service management,the post holder may provide leadership in the area of teaching, training,consultancy, staff support, research and service evaluation. Any externalprovision will fall into either the CPD or external working hours for thisrole. Collaborate with colleagues to participate in nationalresearch and audit processes, developing clinically relevant research projectsto improve the experience of people who access our services, ensuring that suchprojects comply with organisational governance.

Maintain overview of emerging roles which support thedevelopment of a sustainable psychological professions workforce.
Lead on embedding appropriate routine evaluation, audit andoutcome measures across psychological and psychosocial interventions.
Support the recruitment of psychology staff, ensuring thatrequired standards of governance, qualification, practice, and registration asdetermined by the HCPC and other relevant professional bodies are met.
Build and maintain links with NHS, voluntary sectorproviders and other related services, enabling shared learning andcollaboration.

Clinical
Lead provision to ensure that interventions provided aretrauma informed, evidence-based / evidence-informed and delivered in accordancewith NICE guidelines and best practice.
In Change Grow Live we want all clinicians to engage inclinical work. You will therefore carry a small clinical caseload, providingskilled assessment, intervention, supervision, and consultation (equivalent toconsultant competency or higher). You will exercise autonomous professionalresponsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of people withinoperational policy; this will be Inclusive of complex needs relating to trauma,cognitive impairment, organic disorders and behaviour which may challenge,utilising risk assessment and management appropriately.
Provide expert support and specialist psychological adviceguidance, and consultation on managing complex problems, includingpsychological trauma, management of risk, responding to abuse, severe andenduring mental health problems, and challenging behaviour.
Maintain an overview of new and innovative evidence-basedand evidence-informed therapeutic approaches proposed within Change Grow Liveservices; using theory, evidence[1]basedliterature, and research to support high quality, timely, evidence-based (andevidence-informed) practice in individual work, group work, and work with otherteam members across services.
Maintain registration with HCPC and accreditation with BPS,BABCP.
Training, Development & Clinical Supervision
This role will provide clinical supervision to ClinicalPsychologists as required in line with UK regulatory body guidelines - HCPC. Itwill also provide expert professional and clinical advice and supervision, toensure effective provision of psychological care to multi-disciplinary teamcolleagues as required.
Ensure that appropriate clinical supervision is provided forpsychology modalities of practice in line with UK regulatory body guidelines HCPC.
Participate actively in regular professional and managerialsupervision. With respect to professional supervision, ensuring arrangementsare maintained and evidenced in line with HCPC guidelines and recommendationsfrom relevant professional bodies, including any therapeutic supervisionappropriate for specialist areas. With respect to managerial supervision, inline with organisational policy.
Undertake relevant training aligned with personaldevelopment plan and HCPC and relevant professional bodies guidelinesregarding continuing professional development.
Ensure organisational provision of clinical placements fortrainee psychologists and other psychology students, ensuring that traineesacquire the necessary skills, competencies and experience to contributeeffectively to client care and to contribute to the assessment and evaluationof such competencies.
Collaborate with managers, service users, carers and otherstakeholders in the development of training and education specific toidentified needs.
Work collaboratively with Doctoral Clinical Psychology(DClinPsy) courses, training providers NHS Trusts and university departments tosupport development of the psychological professions workforce.
Ensure the development, maintenance, and dissemination ofthe highest clinical standards of practice, actively participating in internaland external CPD training and development programmes as required.
Ensure that allpsychological therapists maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, nationaland local policies, and issues in relation to both the specific client groupand mental health.
Continue to develop expertise in the area of professionalpre- and post-graduate training, teaching and clinical supervision.

1. Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, including specifically models of psychopathology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS, or a BPS Statement of Equivalence
2. Registered with the HCPC as a practitioner Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist and accreditation with a relevant specific therapeutic approach governing body (, BABCP/UKCP)
3. Additional postgraduate/doctoral qualification within a specialist subject or therapeutic modality
