We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Level Chartered Building Surveyor to join our established Technical Due Diligence & Building Surveying team.
The core responsibilities will largely relate to transactional based instructions across the UK with the opportunity to assist on pan-European projects also. The workload will be varied and include a mixture of technical advisory and some professional and heritage project work, with flexibility to accommodate the specific skill sets and aspirations of the applicant.
The successful candidate will be expected to be technically excellent and have a broad range of experience in commercial surveying, including Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Condition Surveys. Additionally, the candidate should be able to manage multiple instructions.
The job involves a mixed workload, often requiring balancing different instructions simultaneously.
The candidate will focus on service delivery, working as part of a larger team, supporting to achieve exceptional outcomes for clients. Confidence in dealing directly with clients is essential.
Time management skills are required to meet deadlines and ensure profitability of instructions.
The key focus will be on TDD advice and reporting, identifying key risks, their severity, quantification, and mitigation recommendations. The role includes predominantly Technical Due Diligence, with some professional work across various building types, mainly commercial and some heritage projects.
This position involves a high level of responsibility and accountability, offering opportunities to develop managerial and technical skills and to progress within a growing specialist team.
You will manage and undertake professional technical consultancy commissions, including Technical Due Diligence, condition surveys, dilapidations, and other projects.
Effective communication is essential to ensure successful project implementation and completion.
You will liaise with Project Managers and Team Leaders to ensure efficient financial control, resulting in cost-effective service.
Regular updates on contract progress should be provided to the Sector Director.
Support mentoring and supervising junior building surveyors.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Building Surveying and MRICS qualified
* Excellent technical ability

* Manage quality standards for high-quality output
* Understanding of transaction processes and funder requirements
* Knowledge of technical, legislative, and commercial aspects
