About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Logistics Operations Manager to join our Stores Service Centre team in Nottingham. The Stores Service Centre is a world-class automated warehouse operation, and in this role, you will be responsible for all operations which ultimately contribute towards right first-time delivery of stock to our 1900 stores across the UK and ROI.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and motivate a team of department managers who are customer-focused, delivering plans that maximize on-shelf availability and delivering the highest service level possible to customers through effective and accurate supply of stock from delivery receipt to onward supply to our stores.
* Ensure service and cost targets are met for your function, including responsibility for setting and agreeing service targets and budgets while maintaining costs in line with the budget.
* Manage performance of the team and ensure feedback in the moment, using a coaching approach to develop people and ensure performance reviews are completed, fostering a positive culture. Ensure a Health and Safety first mindset, adhering to policies, and continuous improvement through accident reduction plans.
* Continually review resourcing strategies, creating a brilliant environment and culture for our diverse team and maintaining a strong USDAW partnership to support our team members.
What we're looking for
* A strong leader with experience in managing and motivating an operational team, including planning and organizing, with exposure to controlling costs and managing a budget.
* Detailed experience/knowledge of supply chain and warehouse processes and working with automated warehouse systems. Must be flexible and prepared to “go the extra mile” for the customer while remaining focused under pressure.
* The ability to interpret high-level data, forward-thinking, who can drive and motivate teams to achieve results, and help create a culture that they are proud of.
* Adaptable and open to change, willing to embrace the ambiguity of a continually changing environment.
